About Hillheim

Find your center. Forge your path. Welcome to Hillheim.

This is not a spa. This is intentional bodywork rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and restorative care.

At Hillheim, we don’t just chase temporary relief. We work with the nervous system, fascia, movement patterns, and the stories written into the body. Each session blends neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, stretching, breathwork, and restorative recovery techniques tailored to what your body actually needs.

Because chronic tension is rarely just physical. The body learns to brace, protect, clench, and survive—and over time, those patterns become difficult to escape. This work helps guide the body out of defense mode and into a state where healing and regulation can finally begin.

Hillheim (pronounced Hill-hime) is named after both my family name and the Norse realm of Helheim—a place not of punishment, but of rest, reflection, and return. In Nordic tradition, Helheim is a quiet, forested realm where the weary are finally allowed to lay down their armor. This practice was built in that spirit.

My name is Amelia Hill. I’m a Scandinavian-American bodywork specialist whose work blends modern science with intuitive, experience-based care. Every modality used at Hillheim is grounded in clinical understanding, anatomy, and evidence-based practice—but the way I approach healing is deeply human.

This is intuitive science: where data meets instinct, and clinical work meets nervous system awareness.

Hillheim is both a battlefield and a sanctuary. A place to rebuild stronger while finally learning how to soften.

A hefty portion of every session also goes back into local community care: supporting veterans, neurodivergent individuals, people navigating chronic pain, burnout, grief, recovery, and those who often fall through the cracks of traditional wellness systems.

This practice exists for people who are exhausted from surviving.

For the warriors. The seekers. The burned out. The overstimulated. The ones carrying too much for too long.

You are welcome here.

And we move forward. Together.

Meet the Team

Forget corporate wellness platitudes—this is the trio you didn’t know your nervous system needed. Amelia Hill, “The Hands.” Hazel, “The Heart,” and Grandmother Ash “The Wise.” Together, we are Hillheim—where ancient instinct meets modern science, and healing becomes a ritual.

We’re not here to coddle. We’re here to recalibrate. Rooted in Northwest Arkansas, this is a sanctuary forged for those ready to get back in their bodies and back in command. No fluff. Just function, soul, and the occasional muddy paw print.

The Hands

Amelia Hill

Founder of Hillheim. Bodywork Specialist. Somatic Guide.

Amelia Hill (they/them) isn’t your average practitioner. Born with severe ADHD and raised through grit, instinct, and adaptation, they work at the intersection of neuromuscular therapy, somatics, and functional rehabilitation.

Their approach is both clinical and intuitive—precise, grounded, and deeply body-aware. They don’t just treat tension; they track it. Its patterns. Its origins. The ways the nervous system learns to brace, protect, and survive.

Each session is designed to help clients reconnect with their bodies through intentional touch, nervous system regulation, movement, and restorative care. This isn’t massage. This is reclamation.

A second-generation Scandinavian-American, Amelia’s work is influenced by both modern science and ancestral philosophy—where resilience, embodiment, and healing were woven into daily life rather than separated from it.

Outside the office, they’re usually in the woods: backpacking, training, tending fires, or letting nature recalibrate their own nervous system the same way they help recalibrate others.

Hazel
The Heart

Hazel

Wolf of Hillheim. Therapy Companion. Client Care Coordinator.

Hazel isn’t just the mascot—she’s the medicine.

This Australian Shepherd knows when to offer a nose boop, when to station at the window, and when to lay right at your feet to anchor the energy. Equal parts protector and goofball, Hazel is the emotional barometer of Hillheim.

Outdoors, she’s is the fearless trail guide. Indoors, she’s the grounding presence that reminds every client to breathe, soften, and stay present. Her job description? Vibe control. Nervous system regulation. Occasional mud inspections.

Hazel doesn’t need credentials—she is the certification. One tail wag at a time.

Grandmother Ash
The Spirit

Grandmother Ash

Elder of Hillheim. Mystic Seer. Mentor.

Grandmother Ash (she/her) has been a guiding force behind Hillheim since long before its name was ever spoken aloud. A spiritual elder, she walks the line between earth and sky — grounding her wisdom in the body, the land, and the quiet whispers of the unseen.

I met Grandmother Ash over a decade ago during a season of deep personal transformation. She took me in, not with softness, but with strength. Her guidance wasn’t always gentle, but it was always true. Many of the somatic principles and sacred rituals I now offer through Hillheim were born from long evenings at her table, where the tea was bitter, the air was thick with smoke and stories, and silence spoke as loud as words.

One of the first things she ever told me was: “Ii leat galbma go gáddi lea geađgi.” It means, “It is not cold when the shore holds stone.” I didn’t understand it at first, but over time I came to see it was her way of saying: You are not alone when you’re anchored. Be the shore for others.

And so I forged Hillheim.

Though she prefers solitude and rarely leaves her quiet homestead in the Northwoods, Grandmother Ash remains deeply connected to the work we do here. Her voice still shapes my hands. Her spirit still anchors our vision.
